Service Description
This class is specifically designed to improve mobility, stability, and strength for pregnant and postpartum women. Pregnancy can be a difficult and humbling experience, even for the most healthy and active women. Carrying a child involves many physical changes— weight gain, changes in center of gravity, increased fluid retention, and increased ligament laxity—which can make exercising and even regular daily activities more challenging. In general, staying active throughout pregnancy can minimize pain and improve recovery. But which exercises are best and which ones cause more harm than good? In this class, pregnant women can learn safe exercises that will help support their changing bodies and prepare them for what’s to come. Postpartum women, no matter how far out, will learn ways to help “get their body back” to feeling more normal again. This is small class with an intimate setting to allow for close supervision, instructions, attention to proper form, and modifications to exercises as needed. Participants may ask questions; however, this class is not intended to diagnose or treat illness or injury. If you have a medical condition, you may be advised to seek medical attention from a healthcare professional.
